Alex is Consulting Practice Director, leading Spring Impact’s team that delivers consulting services on national and international projects across a range of sectors. She is a seasoned consulting and non-profit organisation management professional with over 20 years of experience across the public, financial services and non-profit sectors.

Recent projects include supporting the Collective X in South Africa to develop and implement a scale strategy to shift the digital skills market towards employing young people into entry level ICT roles, working with the Amani Girls Organisation in Tanzania to scale a social norm change intervention to reduce age-disparate transactional sex, and with Protect Children in Finland to find innovative ways to scale the ReDirection Programme globally. 

Prior to joining Spring Impact in 2024, Alex co-founded The Conversation Africa, a non-profit media organisation that focuses on bringing evidence-based journalism authored by academics and researchers to the general public and policy community. Before that, she worked on financial inclusion projects at two South African banks and delivered large-scale consulting projects in the public sector in South Africa.

Alex has lived in South Africa and the UK, and holds an MBA from the University of Cape Town. She is a Prince2 Certified project management professional.
