We partner with ambitious funders and investors to design and deliver thematic programmes, such as long-term Scale Accelerator and Collective Impact programmes.

Our programmes package up our expert consultancy with practical training offers and system transformation activities.

We help incorporate scale into funders’ grant-making strategies and practices and support organisations in their sector to scale up solutions sustainably.

In partnership with funders like Oak Foundation, The National Lottery Community Fund and This Day, we’ve designed and delivered 10+ multi-year programmes across 30+ countries around the world.

How it works

Our process is to assess portfolio needs and scaling context. Then design bespoke programmes which can, for example, involve support to:

  • Select high potential organisations with impactful solutions
  • Provide direct scale support to cohorts of organisations through 1-1 consultancy and training
  • Support organisations to transition from grant funding to more sustainable scalable business models
  • Convene stakeholders to achieve collective impact, working together to address barriers, catalyse movements and impact the system
  • Conduct research, share learnings and disseminate best practice to those tackling the problem

Our Scale Accelerator programme has supported over 100+ organisations scale through cohorts tackling problems such as Women’s Empowerment, Early Childhood Development and Preventing Childhood Sexual Violence.

Case study

Oak Foundation:

Supporting 14 organisations across the EU and UK, with 3 years worth of consultancy support

Oak Foundation has partnered with us to design and deliver a fully funded Scale Accelerator programme providing consultancy and training support for EU and UK-based NGOs working to prevent child sexual violence. The partnership involves:

  • Identifying and selecting high potential organisations with impactful solutions
  • Providing direct scale support to through 1-1 consultancy & training over the course of 3 years
  • Bringing together cohorts of leaders to support one another 
  • Sharing learning and disseminating best practice around preventing childhood sexual violence

Case study

Health Foundation

4 years of support for 4 teams to spread social innovation across the UK’s national healthcare system (NHS).

In 2017, we partnered with the Health Foundation to develop the Exploring Social Franchising programme. The partnership involved:

  • Providing 1-1 in-depth consultancy support to 4 organisations with impactful healthcare interventions
  • All teams were granted further funding to put their new approaches into practice
  • Packaging the learnings and insights from the programme into a tool designed to support other healthcare innovators to spread their impact.
