Peter is the Managing Director of the Consumer Goods Forum (CGF), a membership organisation comprising 400 of the world’s leading retailers and consumer goods companies. The CGF’s mission is to drive positive change in the world, on issues such as environmental and social sustainability, product safety, public health and the efficiency of the industry value chain.

Peter was previously a senior partner at McKinsey & Company, advising both retail and consumer goods clients on issues of strategy, organisation, operational improvement, change management, and capability building.  He led the firm’s Europe, Middle East & Africa consumer goods practice for many years, and worked as a consultant with both large multinationals and local family-owned companies, in most regions of the world.

Peter is also currently a Trustee of Fare Share, a UK charity focused on food waste and food poverty, and a member of the Board of Frill, a health-focused food manufacturer with operations in the UK, USA and Sweden.
