Gary was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the company in May 2000.  Belron® is the world’s leading glass repair and replacement company, operating in over 30 countries, and employing nearly 26,000 people. Brand names include Autoglass®, Carglass® and Safelite®. During his time with the company, Gary has held a number of roles that have seen him responsible for the growth and development of key areas of the business.

Gary studied finance at the University of Cape Town and on graduating joined Arthur Andersen where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1981. He then joined the PG Group where he held a number of roles including Finance Manager of the Contracting Division, and MD of PG Masterfit. He left for London in 1989 and completed his MBA programme at London Business School in 1991 and joined Belron® soon after graduating.

Gary Lubner is involved in a number of different charities such as This Day and One to One Children’s Fund and has been a trustee of the Nelson Mandela Legacy Trust. He has completed a number of triathlons including the London Triathlon, where he joins hundreds of his Belron® colleagues every year to raise money for a South African charity, Afrika Tikkun.
