Sistema Biobolsa encourages food security, environmental stewardship and economic prosperity by providing small and medium sized farmers with high-quality, cost-effective biodigester systems. They call this “Sistema Biobolsa”—which converts livestock waste into organic fertilizer and renewable energy i.e. biogas for cooking, heat and electricity. They are dedicated to the well-being of small and medium-sized farmers, climate change mitigation and the harmony of rural communities with our planet.

We began working with Sistema Biobolsa in late 2015 to develop a global scale strategy and replication model, with a core focus on Nicaragua. The overall objective for Sistema Biobolsa is to scale the company’s impact in a financially sustainable way that maintains the highest product and service quality while ensuring the core social values of the business remain.
