Foundation for Ecological Security

Through a grassroots, local partnership approach, The Foundation for Ecological Security (FES) works in diverse ecological areas of India, with equally diverse cultural communities, to conserve and better govern each community’s natural surroundings. With a focus on land and water restoration and of eco-fragile areas, FES works to build local ownership to coordinate all aspects of conservation and restoration, from operations to governance.

On the heels of winning the Skoll Award, FES is exploring how their Prakriti Karyashala training model can be improved and sustainably scaled. In particular, FES is interested in looking at how the Foundation’s training program can be replicated more rapidly while ensuring a certain level of fidelity, to train 50,000 new beneficiaries in rural communities.
