For almost 30 years, Power to Decide has worked to ensure that all young people in the U.S. can decide if, when, and under what circumstances to become parents.

They provide trusted, research-backed sexual and reproductive health information, expand access to quality services, and work to transform cultural attitudes.

By empowering young people to make informed choices, they help protect life opportunities and foster self-advocacy.

Challenge

Power to Decide built trusted digital tools giving young people accurate sexual and reproductive health information. But scaling their impact meant addressing deep-rooted stigma around sex, contraception and abortion, understanding how young people prefer to access information.

Expanding their digital content offerings opened the door to both wider access and lasting culture change.

Our approach

To maximise the reach and effectiveness of Power to Decide’s digital tools, we focused on three key areas to strengthen the team’s learning culture and scaling potential:

Tested what really works

Guided an internal content team through Lean Impact methods to surface unknowns, test critical assumptions, and validate new approaches in real-world contexts.

Built a roadmap for learning

Supported the design of clear testing plans and learning roadmaps, helping the team move from scattered experiments to a structured, strategic path forward.

Embedded adaptive ways of working

Strengthened team capacity to apply a learning mindset across cross-functional workstreams, equipping them to adapt quickly, collaborate better, and sustain progress beyond this project.

“…you have been above any other consultancy we’ve worked with in terms of the leadership you bring to the table, the collaboration, setting an example for us, and keeping us on track, all in such a kind way…”

– Power to Decide

Results

Faster feedback cycles – Teams ran multiple learning loops to test content relevance, generating real-world insights to guide decisions.

Stronger team alignment – Cross-functional groups rallied around clear learning priorities, improving coordination and cutting duplication across strategic efforts.

Lasting adaptability – Lightweight testing and learning are now embedded into milestone planning, giving Power to Decide the tools to keep refining and scaling effectively.
