You can’t do everything alone! It’s simply not possible, so collaborating with others becomes essential for tackling big social problems.

However, choosing partners to join you in your work isn’t easy. Scaling can be a long process, and you need (and want!) to be surrounded by the right partners to reach your destination. Just like in life, we want our connections to be meaningful.

So how do you build these meaningful collaborations with other organisations?

Mainly by strengthening your collaboration skills. This means understanding what you’re looking for in a partner, but also learning how to be a good collaborator. With that in mind, we’ve developed three simple but incredibly useful tools to help you do just that.

Tools to help you find collaborators:

  • Partner Profile: What are the essential and desirable criteria you are looking for in your future partners?
  • Roles & Responsibilities: Who will be responsible for the different tasks required at each stage of the journey?
  • Support Packages: What do you need from each other? Consider what training, advice, and ongoing support your partners will need as you pursue success at scale.

Collaboration is a two-way street. To achieve positive results, it’s not enough to choose the right people; you also need to do it in an organised way and be actively involved in the process, supporting them as much as you can. You have to be a good partner yourself.

Find more on the tools below. We made them so they can be easily downloaded and shared internally or externally. If you have more questions, as always, drop us a note and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
