The Resource Mobilization Adviser will play a key role in supporting Spring Impact’s growth in the US market by identifying and pursuing new relationships with external funding partners, especially philanthropic and corporate foundations and high net worth individuals (HNWIs).
The core deliverables of this role are:
- Lead generation (30%): Identify and reach out to new funding prospects across the US – particularly family and corporate foundations focused on equity and justice, as well as HNWIs – with support from the CEO and US-based consulting team.
- Relationship building (30%): Lead on relationship building with potential funding partners.
- Project/programme design and proposal development (20%): Lead and/or provide strategic input into the design and scoping of a range of consulting and training projects. This involves consulting with key staff at Spring Impact and collaboratively developing approaches to deliver the work (particularly the two Consulting Directors and Training Director).
- Funder-facing content (10%): Design and update proposal templates, boilerplate language, pitch decks and other funder-facing content, to support new relationships with US funders. Advise on how Spring Impact can refine its brand positioning and communications to better connect with a US audience
- Business Development team coaching (10%): Provide advice and support to Spring Impact’s business development team to improve our overall processes and systems.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce compelling written materials

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders in a way that is proactive and reactive, trustworthy, reliable and relevant.
- A firm understanding of the non-profit sector and philanthropic funding community in the US
- Strong existing networks with family and corporate foundations and HNWIs across the US, across a variety of issue areas
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic plans to build mission-based brands in the US market
- Demonstrated experience leading BD efforts and raising funding
- Demonstrated ability to design concepts and proposals for project or programme opportunities
- Experience in working with consulting or consulting /advisory management
- Demonstrated alignment with Spring Impact’s mission, vision and values
- The ability to work independently and efficiently as part of a remote international team
