If you are scaling through collaborators (aka ‘doers’ or implementing partners), then maintaining trust is key.

But how do we build or maintain that trust so our partners continue delivering impact and want to establish long-term partnerships with us?

Here are 4 easy steps to investigate if you’re on track and to help you make changes where necessary:

  1. Get clear on your partner recruitment criteria:
At certain stages in our journey, it can be tempting to say yes to anyone. However, if we do that, we risk bringing on partners we aren’t equipped to support.
  2. Codify the intervention:
It’s essential that your partners know what they are scaling, and where they can adapt the solution so that they can meet quality standards and deliver impact.
  3. Offer support packages:
The best way to empower your partners to deliver the solution independently is by offering them the training, resources, and tools needed for it – what we call a support package.
  4. Develop the systems for recruitment and quality management:
This can feel like a lot of extra work, but investing in this early on will set you up for success in the long-term.

Now that you’ve got the steps, it’s just a matter of taking them. And to make that easier, we have a collection of free tools you can download to help you clarify your thinking and implement the changes necessary to build trusting and lasting partnerships.
