Amone began her career in engineering but quickly realised something was missing: the big picture. She found it was difficult to see where the business was going and how her efforts fit into the overall business strategy. Hence she moved into marketing and in 2014 joined Millicom Group to transform Tigo – primarily seen as a consumer brand – into an established business services provider.
Working within six markets in Africa, Amone and her team have been successful in building capabilities, dramatically expanding the sales force, and putting the infrastructure in place to grow the B2B business. Prior to Millicom Group Amone worked at Vodafone as the Business Manager to the CEO of Africa, Middle East and the Asia Pacific regions.
